Yelam Vali Paattu
This is a genre of songs chanted to keep the rhythm when operating the beach seine. During our field work, we have collected and documented various chants in this genre. You can download the documents and the video recordings of these songs below.
Kadal Paattu
This is another genre of chants similar to the Yelam Vali Paattu. However, these are sung when fishing out at sea.
